Development
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is a call for action to end poverty, protect the planet, and improve the lives and prospects of everyone for generations to come. The Agenda is realized through 17 Goals. All UN Member States have committed to implementing the goals in their respective countries.

To ensure that public institutions become more transparent, accountable, and effective, it is essential that citizens are afforded opportunities to be involved in the development of solutions to complex development challenges that impact their lives.
T&T's National Development Strategy (NDS) is organized into five (5) thematic areas that each have short, mid and long-term objective. The Vision 2030 policy document which was produced by the Ministry of Planning and Development is aligned with the UN's SDGs.
